how long does 1mg ativan last per dosage?

Question: when you take a 1 mg ativan, how long does it conrtinue to work until the next is needed

Follow the instructions on the bottle...its usually given 2 to 3 times daily. The half life for ativan is 10 hours, so that means that 10 hours after your first dose you have .5mg still in your system. Ativan is not given without consulting a dr so follow his prescription.
