Does Trichomoniasis (Trich) have anything to do with eating chicken?

Question:
I have a friend who believes that eating chicken (that aren't cooked completely) can be a cause of catching the STD Trich. I think they were saying this to steer me from eating meat (They're a strict vegan). Is this for real or the craziest bullshit you & I ever heard?

Answers:
That's funny! NOPE is the answer...

Trichomoniasis is a severe case of yeast infection, which is carried by the woman... She has to get that controlled or it might cause cancer or if she gets pregnant the bacteria will kill the fetus... The man can carry the disease and pass that along with another woman...

I don't believe you can get Trich from chicken. Pork, yes, but not chicken. And it's not an STD!!! You can get samonella from uncooked chicken though.
i thought trich was the infection that made u smell like fish down there. i didnt read that it was an STD. and no, its not from eating uncooked chicken.
It has nothing to do with it...Trich is a VD.

No not trich but, you can get salmonella from chicken and improper handling.
Yeah it definetely is a bunch of BS. That's why their called sexually transmitted diseases because you have to have sex to get them!!
Trichinosis is a parasitic infection you get from undecooked meats such as pork. Trichomonis is bacterial infection that is treated with antibiotics like an STD. It is confusing and two totally different things, but tell your friend you can't get an STD from eating chicken.
