Will I get diabetes?

I have had two large babies the first weighed 9lbs 5oz (4220g) and the second weighed 10lbs 6.5oz (4730g). I have heard that having heavy babies is linked with diabetes, is this true and is there anything to prevent it happening?

my daughter is 5 years old i nursed her for a year, my breast has something coming out of them am i ok?

If a woman already has diabetes, then she is more likely to have heavy babies, so it is linked in that sense, but maybe not linked in the way you are thinking.

If you had diabetes whilst pregnant, it would've been picked up by the Doctors.
Having big babies are just some women's lot, but to help avoid developing the condition, weight control and healthy eating are paramount, but not even this can guarantee that you wont get it.
If you are really that worried, go for a blood test with your doctor and see your dietitian for more advice.
