My son and his partner have just failed to conceive after 2nd IVF attempt. Anyone offer any hope to them?

There is always hope. I was married for 10 years and we tried without success to have a baby, we also had fertility treatment. The marriage did not last and I threw myself into my work. As well as working in the hospital I began voluntary work, nursing people going to Lourdes.

I am Roman Catholic, but it took my third visit to Lourdes before I decided to go into the healing holy water. I said my prayer and to be honest, never gave it a second thought. I was due to return to Lourdes the next year, leaving on Good Friday 1999.

Then.....I came home. I met a wonderful man, and unbelievably and completely naturally, fell pregnant with my little boy. But the most amazing thing is......he was born, one month early, on Good Friday 1999!

I will probably need an IVF as well!! I am sure it will be fine! They just have to be more relax about it!! The stress makes it harder!!

Maybe your son's partner needs to attend some Yoga classes or something like that. This will help her to release stress and relax about the whole thing!! I am sure that going through the process is very very stressful but they have to keep fighting!! The battle is not over yet!! They will be defeated when the options have been exhausted!

I don't know how successful the IVF treatment is but I know is not uncommon to fail!! However, I heard cases where they tried quite a few times... But that's how it is!! They are so lucky that they have the option to get a treatment!! Tell them that I wish them all the best!!

I'm sorry to hear that!! Is so unfair that!! If they fail... Do you think they can adopt a baby? There are so many children in need of a home and a better life.... I guess is not the end of the world.

Try again unless the doctors are saying it likely won't work. By the way; why the IVF? Why not natural?
