Why are my breasts are sore?

Question:
I just started taking birth control pills one week ago; I haven't been on any b.c. for about 1 year and before that I was on depo but that never affected my breasts. Is it normal that the pills might be making them sore?

Answers:
It is your hormones adjusting to the change in your body. That happened to me several times. It will stop.

Other Answers:
You need to switch pills. or use condoms.

it always makes mine hurt, just like before my period or when i was preggers.
they get really full too, which is awesome, but they hurt lol

It probably is the pills. If it doesn't get better talk to your doctor about a different brand. I'm not a doctor, but I had a similar experience with tender breasts when using birth control pills. Ask yourself a few questions like, "Do they hurt throughout the entire month?" "How sore are they (tenderness vs. pain)?" "Is the feeling lessening or worsening as time goes on?"

Of course, you should always see the doctor that prescribed them so he or she can note your chart appropriately and make professional recommendations.
