Can't get it IN!?

Question:
First time tampon user. or should i say attempter. I'm using the slender cardboard applicator tampax. my flow is regular, almost heavy. ive tried every postion. the tip will go in a little ways and then won't move! and when i try and push it a little it hurts. i know about the angle you should do it. it's like there isn't a hole for it to go through! i don't get it. everything is right and ok and the tampon won't go in! this is VERY frustrating. i'm tired of almost LEAKING through my close, and i'm pretty sure my mom is too lazy to go get me the plastic tampons or more pads. why is this happening?! i'm on the edge right now. and i'm getting very depressed :( someone please help me!

Answers:
cardboard tampons are the worst tampons you can possibly use! get the plastic easy glide ones. you need to get the tampon in the position so its going towards your lower back. make sure you use the vaginal hole (the one below the clit and before the anus, sounds stupid i know, but believe me, people have done it). i've gone through it to and it is indeed very frustrating. i dont know what to tell you, because it sounds like you do everything right. maybe your vagina isn't deep or something like that. hope this helps! :D
