I worked with a woman who had one. It was expensive and not covered by insurance so she was working asecond job to pay for it. She said her and her husband had wanted more kids but at the time of her surgery he had been out of work and they could not afford more children. She had to kids that were adults, over 18 and her youngest was 14 when she had the surgery.
At the time of her surgery she was only given less than 10% change of becoming pregnant. As far as I know she never did have another baby.
