Getting birth control in Japan-- question for female expats?

Question:
Is it possible for foreign females living in Japan (who don't speak Japanese) to get access to the Pill without going back to their home country?

Answers:
Of course, anyone living in Japan can get oral contraceptive pills. I believe that most gynecologists can "read" English, so you communicate in writing with your doctor. OCPs are kind of expensive in Japan though, like from $20 to $35.

You can also get OCPs from the internet without prescription, and they're much cheaper than the prescribed pills. You can order OCPs from the website below though it's written in Japanese.

You can see an English speaking doctor. I'm not in Japan though, I'm in China and that stuff is over the counter here but, we've got English speaking doctors for medical concerns/problems.
