Why do people think a woman, Nicole Ritchie and others, are attractive at 85 lbs?
It scares me to see these young stars weighing in at 90 lbs. It is a deadly game they are playing and it is pawned off on our kids. Our kids think if they weigh over 100 lbs they are fat.

I don't think a lot of males find stick thin attractive, it's more misguided females thinking that a teenage boys physique is the ultimate look.
Unfortunately, young girls are bombarded with half starved models in magazines and tv commercials, not to mention the latest 'it' female celebrities such as Nicole Ritchie, whose look and fashion sense these young girls desperately want to emulate, so they can be "cool" too.
Every time I go shopping I just amazed at how many young skinny girls there are out there now, compared to the past. Yes, some girls are naturally very thin but not in the numbers we are now seeing. It's disturbing.

they aren't playing a game. they suffer from eating disorders such as anorexia. They are serious diseases in which a person has an obsession over everything they eat and a major fear of gaining weight. I dont think its fair to blame the stars because pictures of them suffering from a disease are all over the place. It takes more than seeing skinny celebrities to make someone thats healthy think they are fat.Actually nicole has anorexia and needs help. tell ur daughters that they are beautifull no matter how much the weigh, actually i hate being skinny and eat alot to keep some flesh on my bones. nd young people today shd know that skinny is scary not beautifull!!
Media, Movies? Low Self-Esteem? Pure Pressure? Those 85 pound famous actresses are not in Ethiopia! They have money.they can eat and need to eat! Being underweight just does not look healthy or attractive.it makes you look "sickly". This has become an illness with some teens today.and can be a struggle to overcome.

That is the new con concept of beauty, and the people that suffer the most are the Americans(not trying to be racist or discriminate) and all that is based on their diet, and the less sports they do. If you look at the Asians and the Europeans, they are almost never fat, when they live in their countries.Europeans, as I am, we eat well, our food is balanced(Well at least in my country and the countries that apply the Mediterranean diet) and I enjoy my food a lot, because we don't use too many chemicals to treat them.
I personally think that skinny women's are very cute, and sexy. And as long as they have it all in control, is not bad, because she can be a skinny but healthy women, or a fat and an unhealthy, these things don't go together.
So yeah, I like it that way, and at least here in Europe we enjoy it that way.
