What makes girls not have periods for 2 months or more apart from being pregnant?

Question:
Am 24, have never had penetrative sex but have missed my period for more than 2 months!! What can I do?

Answers:
If you are sure you are not pregnant it could be a number of other things and you really need to see your doctor about it.

Are you stressed out for any reason because that can interfere with things and so can a poor diet.

Most likely it is nothing serious, but best to check with a professional!! ;)

It would be best to check with your doctor.

Missing a few periods is common, and can be due to any number of things aside from pregnancy including stress. I was very irregular as a teen sometimes going 5 or 6 months without a period. It wasn't until I got on birth control that my periods became regular. This link might help:

There is a lot of good information there

Your harmones can be out of whack. Check with a doctor. First of all it might be your age because if you are young like in your teens you will never have as many as someone older but if there was some one older it might be the way you are made then I would tell you to talk your your mom because she might have had the same problem

Deal with stress, watch your weight and ask your doctor if you could have a condition calls PCOS in which your body over-produces a hormone called androgen.

Your doctor may put you on the birth control pill to help your cycle regulate itself.

Good luck.
