I have many symptoms, please read?

Question:

My urethra hurts, my pee stings a little, I have soreness all around my vagina. There's no abnormal discharge or smell. When something is inserted into a vagina (something as small as a tampon) it hurts! I went to the doctor yesterday and was tested for a UTI, but that was negative. The doctor is just as confused as I am, nothing seems to add up!

I have also used yeast infection treatements, nothing was worked. This has been going on since Friday (very lightly) until now (very painful). The doctor also gave me a 3 day antibiotic.

Has anyone else ever had something like this or can give me some advice? Thanks a lot!

Vulvodynia, interstitial cystitis, and bladder infections all come to mind. It is important to determine exactly what is causing the symptoms so that you can get proper treatments. If your current doc isn't helping or paying attention, go to a new one. Try someone with a background in urogynecology or pelvic floor disorders, if you can. They can be more helpful than regular OBs and primary care docs. Good luck and hope you find the problem and feel better ASAP.

Yes I bet you are a cola drinker. Too much acid can cause that. Coke is very high in acid and if you drink coke get off of it. Sometimes a combination of too much acid and caffeine. Lay off any cola or tea and drink water for a few days.
Also don't take bubble baths that can cause the same thing. take showers instead.

Sound like you could be having an allergic reaction to some of the yeast infection treatments you have be using. The burning is caused by a start of a kidney infection. Drink plenty of liquids and give the antibiotic a chance to work.

that's odd but it sounds a lot like UTI like you said maybe you should go to a few other doctors and get more advice and tests good luck

Go to a gynecologist! There could be many reasons for the irritation and a general practitioner may not be aware of all tests that should be run to get a good diagnosis.

Is beginning to sound like an advancing PID... better get back to your doc and get some things ruled out, so appropriate treatment can be rendered.

Was ph checked? Recent unusual sexual contact? Anything unusal in the past 10 days(other than presenting symptoms)?
