yes you can. if the tie job is not all that good. in order to avoid pregnancy, they need to clip the tubes, cut them and remove the portion they cut. I know lots of people who have been "surprised" following tubal ligation. I had my tubes tied after my 3rd child was born and made sure they cut and clipped the tubes.. been 5 years now, no surprises.
