I am almost 16 wks pregnant and I just threw up bright yellow fluid. I'm wondering what it could have been?

Question:
This has happened once before but in my first trimester. (both times it has been in the morning right after I get up) This is the first time I've thrown up since my 2nd trimester started. Is this anything to worry about or did I just throw up my prenatal vitamin? (that is the last thing I consumed before going to bed) Did I mention... that it was the worst taste that you can imagine.

Answers:
It's probably just vomit, but if you feel as if it might be something else then checkout WebMD.com .

bile
bile

eat some crackers to soak up the excess stomach acid and take some tums.
i've never been pregnant, but when i used to get really drunk, i would throw up bright yellow liquid that tasted horrible. i checked into it and was told it was bile.
Most likely it was stomach acid mixed with the vitamin, I could not take the vitamin unless I had a meal with it but do not drink OJ because the iron can not be absorbed. Read the warning on you prescription and follow it.
could have been lemonade or lemon kool aid!?!?.....GO TO WEBMD.COM.......no one here knows!!!
You are throwing up stomach acid/bile.You need to eat something like crackers slowly. It doesn't mean anything is wrong.
It sounds like good old fashioned BILE, it tastes like ****! It also burns coming up the pipes!
the only times I vomited bright yellow was some bad milk and after taking vitamins.
don't take them late at night.
no eat weird stuff drink coke
I agree with the others it was bile. I know they tell you to take your prenatal vitamin before bed on an empty stomach but that is just asking for trouble.

You throw up bile when that is all there is in your stomach. Make sure you have a little bit of food in your stomach before bed and then take your vitamin. Also, first thing in the morning have a few crackers or whatever you can tolerate so you have a little in your stomach. Make sure whatever you eat can absorb the acid - like crackers or a piece of toast. Make sure it isn't fatty or acidy (no orange juice) that is only going to make it worse.

Have a healthy pregnancy and baby!
