What causes hair to fall out? Mine does it everyday in small pieces.?

Question:
What can I do to not lose hair? Is it a medical condition?

Answers:
People lose 100 hairs a day through breakage, regular shedding, and damage from other sources. If you're just losing some hairs, it's completley normal. Everyone loses hair. If it's coming out in clumps, it's a problem. Hair loss can be caused by poor nutrition, hair disorders, or if it's stressed (if you dye your hair or perm it too often.) If it's nutrition based, there is something you can do. if it's a disorder, there may be medications, or there may not be, judging on what kind of disorder it is. but it sounds like yours is perfectly normal. If you're really worried about it, bring it up at your next physical... but it sounds like you're perfectly fine!
