Recently went off Birth Control, now have had my period for over 2 1/2 weeks with severe abdominal pain???

Question:

I am 28 and went off the pill 2 almost 2 months ago. I was on it for 11 years. My most recent period came a week and a half late and has lasted 2 1/2 weeks so far, still counting... Today I am experiencing severe abdominal pain, doesn't feel like cramps, feels strange and uncomfortable every time I stand up and walk, or first sit down. Not sure if this is a side effect of going off the pill, or if something else is happening. Any ideas???

My idea would be to go to a doctor for such severe pain not ask people on youqa.com .

I agree with the first answer, you need to see a doctor, severe abdominal pain is not normal and needs to be checked out.
