Why am I bleeding so heavily and for so long?
Question:

It's very important that you go to your gynecologist.
And as a side, I had a friend who experienced some of the same issues. She is severely obese (that is, her BMI is more than 35 and she weighs too much for her height). The doctor told her if she lost weight, it would help her periods return to normal.
I don't know if this suggestion would also apply to you so make sure you see a doctor. They are the only ones who can diagnose your condition. You'll feel much better after you get an examination. It will be one less worry on your mind if you've been anxious lately.
Best wishes!

Go to your doctor. you already know the worst that they can tell you, you don't want to wait any longer and have it become worse.
Go and see a doctor. This could be a very serious condition.
are you on the birth control pill?? if you are-- the pill has a tendency to do this to women who have just started whether it's their first time on the b.c. pill or their first time with this certain type. sometimes it occurs with women who have been on it for a while. if i were you, i'd make an appointment with your gynocologist as soon as possible. it may cost you another bill for nothing, but it also may be the best thing you could've done.
I have irregular periods also one time mine stay on for a whole month, but now sometime it comes on when it does i spot. It is probaby stress. I stuffer with it bad and since you say u have anxiety that probaby what it is and since its on now u stress out and it is staying on longer. Go to the doctor maybe he/she can provide u with some meds to get it back on track. Birthcontrol helps it get back on track also..
well I had a problem simulair to this I bled for 45 days stopped for a week or two then started again about 15 days later I finally went to the doctor an dthey did minor surgery and gave me a D and C. That stopped the bleeding. You really should be checked out my doc was a bit angry with me for going so long before I sought help.
When was your last pap smear? Have you been using tampons? May I suggest like all the other women before me have suggested that you go to your gynecologist. It is for your own safety. Something is going on inside your channel and only a qualified doctor can get to the bottom of this.
go to the Dr hun and ask them if it is possible that you may have endimetriosis (sp?)
It sounds like it may be caused from the PCOS. The uterine line just keeps building up over the months and when you finally have a period it is shedding alot of cells. The clots are not necessarily abnormal though because of this. But the best bet is to go to the doctor. It is something of concern and there are things they can do to help. From taking medication to help regulate your period, to doing something called a D&C which is a surgical procedure. I work in OB/GYN at a local clinic and also have a friend w/PCOS. The best bet is to contact your doctor!! GOOD LUCK!
