Have any ladies here gotten pregnant after having a tubal ligation?

Question:
Would just like to hear some stories, I have my tubes tied, and was wondering if it was easy to get pregnant. I have always heard that it gets more possible after 5 years. Any input?

Answers:
I haven't personally, but I've got a cousin who did. The doctor told her he was amazed because she only had a partial ovary left and the other had dissolved. She was about 45 when it happened and had had them done when she was about 35. If they actually did the laser surgery on them though, which is more common in the last 5 years, you may not need to worry about it. Best idea is to talk to your doctor about it and see what sort of proceedure was done.
it is not easy, the surgery is designed for you NOT to get pregnant, however, nothing is foolproof. the failure rate is about 4/1000. it is a little higher as time goes by merely because the woman has more ovulation cycles and more chances to conceive. it has nothing to do with the tubes untying or growing back together or anything like that. it should always be considered permanent and non-reversible
