what are the chances of a girl to become pregnant inspite of using condoms?
Question:
Answers:
Nothing is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy except for abstinence and total hysterectomy. Condoms are between 85-95% effective at preventing pregnancy, so it is still possibly. Her best bet is to wait at least two weeks after a missed period, and see her doctor for a blood pregnancy test as this is the most accurate way of testing.
Other Answers:
The FDA says 14% chance - but that accounts for usage errors. If always used and used correctly, 3%.
Condoms have an 85 - 97% effectiveness rate. You have to make sure that you use them every single time, and you use them CORRECTLY every single time, in order for them to be 97% effective. You have to make sure the packaging isn't damaged at all, the condom hasn't expired, and that you put it on carefully and correctly. Even after PERFECT use, there is still a 3% chance that your girlfriend could get pregnant. If she is on another method of birth control (the pill, the patch, the shot, etc) this will help decrease your risk of a pregnancy. If you're concerned that she might be pregnant, buy an over-the-counter test. They are usually pretty accurate.
Good luck!
yes you still can. a small percent but the chance is still there. better to be safe than sorry always use a couple of methods will keep you safer.

There is a very good chance that your girl friend is pregnant!! There are no fool-proof methods of birth control other than abstinence. Condoms can and do leak, so I think you and your girl friend should buy a home pregnancy test as soon as possible. If the test is positive make an appointment with an ob/gyn immediately.I hope that things turn out well for you both. Good luck and God bless you both.
about 1 and 50
I have 5 friends that have condom babies so nothing is full proof..It is good to use spermacides , (foams, creams, etc.) also along with a rubber.. Good luck..
Condoms are not fool proof, especially when used alone and without additional contraceptive measures like spermicidal creams, or jellies. In the future, she will have to use them in combination with the condom, and will have to insert the cremes in the upper portion of her vagina prior to having intercourse. Condoms can break or get tiny tears in them during especially active sex (This happened to me once when I was young, and I nearly had a stroke when my b.f. pulled out of me with a completely torn condom!), or if the package is old and dried out, or if there are tiny tears in the packaging.
She needs to make an appointment with her gynecologist to get a blood test that determines whether or not she is pregnant. Blood tests taken there are far more accurate than the urine tests you can buy in the drugstore. Blood tests will detect pregnancy far earlier than the urine tests do. Please urge her to make the appointment and offer her support by going with her.
Very good chance. Condoms are only as safe as the person putting them on.
condoms are not 100% Yes she could be pregnant.I would try a mome test 3 days before her period is to start and then if it is 10 days past due call the doctor.
yes there is a possibility because there is only one thing that is 100% way of not being pregnant and that's abstinence. Even if you use a condom properly it can still break on accidentally or can be put on improperly.
Ask my son Zach..he's 8! Nothing broke..we were always careful.and he looks just like me..it can happen. See the doctor quick..figure out what you are going to do. Good Luck .ask parents to help!
she may be.have u ever put the condom on the tip of the penis then noticed it was upside down and turned it over? this could put pre *** on the outside of the condom resulting in pregnancy
Maybe she's cheating on you!!
I hate to state the obvious but the only safe sex is no sex.which I don't condone.
Has your girl taken a pregnancy test yet? Yeaaahh, that may tell you the answer you're looking for.
Maybe you have a sick minded girlfriend who stole your used condom from the garbage so she could get prego.I've heard of chicks doing this, rare, but it happens.
I'm here answering this because of a failed condom 42 years ago :)
The only 100% way of preventing pregnancy is not having sex.
You had sex?
Then there is a risk!
I agree with Gleason102301.who says your the only one using condoms with her.lol Just a thought, not that you truly haven't thought it yet. But none the less, YES it is still possible for you to get her pregnant even with consistant condom use.Sorry Or Congrats?!
the chances are high as these fail regularly. Also at times they leak out the top.

yes, have her do a home pregnancy test.
There is a chance with any birth control that it will fail, I'm sure you know this. Condoms break and leak over the top if you are not careful. If your not ready for pregnancy don't have sex.
Can there be some one without condom behind you? Then its a long way for you to travel.
there is no chance, unless the condom breaks in ..
