mirena contraceptive coil?

i had one in april, but nearlly 6 months later i'm still having periods for about 2 weeks or more every month! has anyone else had problems with this coil? should i get it taken out or leave it for a bit longer?

I have just been researching into coils and I.U.D's, they can cause all sorts of serious problems. Infections can lead to Pelvic Inflammatory Disorder. Your best solution is to use the barrier method, condoms, diaphragms, etc. Stay clear of drugs. Your hormones sound as if they need regulating.
