How soon before my period can I take a pregnancy test?

Question:

Answers:
most over the counter pregnancy tests are not able to detect pregnancy until you've actually missed a period. If you needed to know now, you could try having the doctor do a blood test, but if you just had your period recently (within the last couple of weeks) it may be too soon for even that.

Other Answers:
you REALLY should wait until your period is at least one day late, if you want an accurate test.
ASAP
