LADIES - is it possible to speed up your period or delay it using safe methods? - im goin on vacation?

Question:
Im goin on vacation next week and don't want to end up just tanning for the whole week - and i don't use tampons - does anyone have something safe to suggest that would help me with my situation?

Answers:
get pregnant...ha ha ha..
no seriously, there are a few methods, but they are not for sure and the change will be only for one or two days.
i would either try to speed it up... seems to me less trouble, usually when delay is there, the menstruation causes more pain.

There might(must!) be herbs available in the pharmacy for this purpose. Otherwise red wine is very helpful (to me). If you can then go for jogging(running) or make yoga exercise called Surya Namaskar(12rounds) and Yoga Nidra (they are not difficult for beginner), but only on empty stomach. Avoid sour or bitter food...
Do not sit too much, try to be always on move, more then usual. If you are on diet right now, it might cause a delay of your periods.

Of course there are medications, with 100% guaranty, specially in Prof*-Sports they are very common, but the side effects are heavy.

Other Answers:
nope. I wish, the same thing happened to me when I went to the bahamas. We can't control when we have our period It's involuntary.
if you were on the pill or other birth control, then you could skip a period by continuing to take the meds during the 4th week
If you're on the pill, patch, or ring you can delay your period a week by skipping the placebos and starting a new week of pills or using a patch/ring during what should be the week of your period.

If you're not using a daily/weekly hormonal birth control than there is really nothing you can do to delay or hasten your period.
You didn't say if you are on birth control pills or not but if you are and you already have or can get your next month's supply just don't take the inactive pills. Continue taking active pills til you get to the inactive pills in second pack. You'll just skip a period. If you are not on birth control pills, you may not have any other options.
Tampons are safe.

It's a bad idea to use hormonal preparations - no matter how they are delivered - to delay or precipitate a period. There is very poor understanding of any possible relationship between hormonal monkeying around and future problems.
talk to your doctor and tell what you want to do and he will give you a shot it may cost you money but it is worth it.... it lasts for about 3 months
i doubt it, but if there is, don't use it. it's bad for you and is risky. just bring pads, come on.
