If you like a guy but you're not sure he likes you like that should you still apporach him?

Question: I met this guy at my very short lived job and we hit it off immediately, when i got fired i thought i wouldn't see him again. But then he got transfered to my friends resturaunt and she found out he had a myspace so i've been talking to him pretty regular on there. I have a big crush on him but i'm totally unsure if he likes me like that and I want to know if i should go for it anyway? I am 17 now but i used to have this big 3 year crush on this guy when i was 13 and when i asked him to the prom he flat out said no and asked my best friend who denied. But i was sooo hurt i can honestly say i hadn't had a crush on anyone else since then, until now. My mom says when i 'love' i love hard and when it doesn't work out i fall hard. I realy like him though and I'm sooo conflicted, i really don't want to be hurt again. Any sugestions?

even tho you've been thru heart ache you will never know if you never take a chance. life is full of ups and downs and u eventually learn to get over the heartache and try again. be brave! do you get the "vibe" that he is interested too? if he says he's not interested like that dont worry so much cuz he obviously wants to b ur friend if he talks to u as often as u say. good luck and take care :)
