The answer is no. Read the directions that come with the tampons and you'll be fine. Dont miss out on things you wanna do!
HEY plzz dun panic. U suffering wid no problem just b happy & dun tat question strike u again
I guess it may the insertion easier but you can use tampons if your are a virgin. Just try and relax and use a mirror at first so you know where it is supposed to go. Good luck I have treated girls as young as 12 that are virgins and use tampons with no trouble. You cannot have sex while using a tampon.

Read the directions on the box and change it regularly it will feel a little weird to start with be you'll get there - it is worth it to be able to do all the things you love while your body does its thing.
no, you don't have to be a nonvirgin to use tampons. just read the directions and use some extra lubrication, such as ky jelly, if you need to. but, during your period you should have enough moisture to get it in properly. a tampon probably will not break your hymen, so it should be relatively painless. it might be a little uncomfortable, at first, but you will get used to it.
You should only use it while you're swimming, like put in on the day that you're going to swim. However you could use it before to get used to but it can stretch the hymen, it can be quite uncomfortable and it has been known to cause some girls serious infections because something with bacteria is near the uterus so just be really, really careful and avoid it if you can.
You can use a tampon any time.
