Question:

Stopped breastfeeding about 2 months ago and stopped taking birth control at the same time but no periods still. I was taking birth control due to periods every other week when I was nursing now after weaning I haven't had any periods at all. I had not had intercourse since July of 2003 so I can't be pregnant and I'm 19 so I don't think that I'm going through menopause so what's wrong with my body.

Answers:
After breast feeding two of my children, it took 4 months for my period to start up again. Have patience, your body has just been through a great deal. Trust me, it will return eventually, you are absolutely fine.

It can just take time for your body to readjust. Give it a couple more months.
