i dont want to make my doctor mad.?


Question:
i hav been on paxil,rspidal,ativan,lunsta, and now i am on xanax,lithium,and effexor.the lithium was upped 2 weeks ago so i have been on it for a month now.the xanax i have been on for 2 weeks and it hasnt been calming me down too much for the anxity..and the effexor i hav been on for months now and it hasnt been working period..i dnt wnt my doc to get mad if i tll him its not working again.pleas some advice..

You have not heard of the golden rule, have you. It's: He who has the gold, rules. You are the one that should be getting mad because he/she is not helping you all these months. That's their job. That's why you pay them. If what you are taking does not work for you, tell him/her to change the medication. That's normal because not all meds work the same way with everyone. My wife went thru a dozen meds before they found the right one that actually works for her. So, hang in there and tell him/her what's working and what's not.

Your doctor should be trying to help you, so he shouldn't get mad. If he does, switch doctors.
