A friend of mine started birth control just over a month ago-?

Question: She started the pill a little over a month ago on the first day of her period and she has not stopped bleeding since- it seems that this is not normal and she probably should have stopped taking the pill a while ago, but hasn't. Does anyone have any info on this or experience?

She needs to call her OB/GYN first thing in the morning!
