Migranes and medication?

Question:
I'm 17 years old and I've had migranes since I was 14. I've been prescribed imitrex for years and now the effect of it is slowly starting to decrease. The doctor ups the mgs on it but I don't like having to take the pills everytime I get a headache I'd hate to see my liver from all the damage the med has done.....anyway about a month ago he gave me Inderal, I take it three times a day and it's supposed to control my migranes down. So far, it's worked fairly well but I'm not sure I like the effect it has on my body. I feel weak, tired, a bit more depressed that I already was(i've been on lexapro for a while now) and anxious a lot. Has anyone else had this medicine before?

Answers:
I'm 25 years old and I have had migrains for sometime now. Over the last 6 months I have been on Mal-Alt... It works really well. All it is a pill about that size of a dime that dissolves in your mouth...It taste kind of bad but works really well...What I do with it is when I fell a migrain coming on I take half with 2 advil then wait about an hour or so and take the other half...Works really good.. Ask your doctor about it.
i used to get migraines all the time, at first I was on Imitrex but it didn't work well for me. Then I went back to the dr and he put me on anti depressants at first, it was .. i forget but now I'm on effexor and lamictal to control the depression. That is what caused my headaches.
