Is it alright to shave off pubic hair?

Question:
Y do some women shave off their pubic hair? Will it eventually grow thicker n thus requires constant shaving? Is there a way to shave it off permanently?

Answers:
is it BIOLOGICALLY impossible for your hair to grow back thicker - it is just an illusions as it pokes thru the skin.

I shave b/c I like to feel CLEAN! pubic hair actually makes you unclean as it holds in sweat, bateria, and other unwanted things that could make you smell and grow things you don't want. seriously!

Women shave (or trim or wax) because it just looks better, more neat and clean. Shaving doesn't cause the hair to grow back thicker, but it tends to look that way because a razor causes the hair to grow back with a blunt end.

I prefer waxing, it grows back super soft and thin. A permanent option is laser, but its expensive.
u can get it done surgically but thats bout it they shave it to make their men happy and themselves
have a great day
Yeah it's alright women shave cause guys like it that way it does grow thicker I don't think there is a way to shave it permanently!

there is no medical need for genital hair, if you remove it cleanly and safely, you should be fine, i would avoid harsh chemical removers and laser around that area though

We shave it for the same reasons we shave our legs. It doesn't grow back any thicker though until you get accustomed to it you might become 'itchy' when the hair is growing back. A lot of guys (venture I say 'most') love atleast a trim and if you plan on wearing a swimsuit..please do a good trim!

Only way to get rid of it for good is by Laser and that's costly.
Some women shave for aesthetic reasons. It will not grow back thicker. The only way to permanently remove pubic hair is with laser treatments.
I'm a man and I must admit that I've seen some shaved *******.. :P Many women I spoke with are going to beauty saloons and epilate their pubian hair. It grows back slower.

P.S. I like both, shaved and . ;)
Yes of course its alright. No, it won't grow back thicker.the hair follicle does not "know" that you just shaved! Is there a way to remove it permanently? Yes, laser.and it is 600-800 bucks and multiple sessions.but not painful. Waxing works.it gets less painful as you do it more often.
Why do people do it? Same reason people do alot of things.asthetics, sexiness, cleanliness, preference, etc. I know a fair amount of female (and a few male) athletes who do it. They say it just makes them feel cleaner, faster, whatever.
Give it a shot. You know what'll happen if you end up not liking it?? Nothing! It will grow back within a month or two with no permanent changes to your body.
Its YOUR body.take care of it.be curious.be safe.experiment when you feel like it..
Many woman do it, and perfer it. be careful that certain hair removal products are not safe to use in genital areas.
I personally would shave, however when I do, when my hair starts comming back in alot of it will get ingrown and a bit painful.
I shave mine like a landing strip, maybe with a little more. I like the way it feels and if my boyfriend is going to put his mouth down there, I want it smooth and clean. I feel better and I think that the pussycat looks better without hair on it.

I tried waxing and OMIGOD the pain. She only did one side and I was bruised for a week. I've heard from many women that waxing is so much better, maybe I just got a harsh job
Shaving your pubic hair IS LIKE CUTTER YOUR REGULAR HAIR. It will GROW BACK THICKER. You can do like laser hair removal.
