Women, question about the pill and skipping periods!?

Question:

This month, I used my pill (I take Yasmin 28) to skip my period so it would not come along on my vacation with my boyfriend. But now that I did that, the darn thing will show up just in time for my 30th birthday. I really don't want to be any more miserable on that day.is it ok to use my pills to skip it again or is that dangerous? Please advise.I've got 13 days until my birthday and 10 until I have to get my next pill pack. Thank you in advance for your help!

my doc told me it was totally ok.there are birth control pills that they prescribe now that you only get ur period every 3 months. my doc assured me that it is not necessary to have a menstrual cycle while on the pill.i have skipped a lot..but i wouldn't personally recommend over-doing it all the time because doctors don't really know everything.

I was on Yasmin and I skipped two months in a row because of finals. I don't know if it is dangerous (don't think so but only your doctor can answer that one for you) but it made me really miserable. I didn't have my period but I had all the other symptoms though. Didn't work out for me quite as I had planned. Before you do anythang youshould talk to your dr,If your not ready to be a parent.I know you would not want a baby for your birthday present.
