Has anyone ever been perscribed a Duragesic Patch?

Question: My doctor wrote me a script for it the other day and I'm kinda scared of it...I have dealt with them in the past (I am a pharmacy tech) and I thought they were just for severe pain...

Has anyone had an experience with it?

I have not had one myself but have observed several people that have started wearing them. People react differently to them. If you have been taking pain medication already it may just be like that only you won't have to take extra pain pills because the relief if constant. Sometimes at first you may feel a little sleepy or dizzy until your body gets used to it. If you keep feeling sleepy then it may be too much medication for you. Be sure you take the old patch off or you may overdose. A lot of people forget that. You should be able to tell if it is too much for you after the first day especially. Most people I know of that use it have chronic moderate pain.
