when a girl has a super irregular periods throughout her life?
Question:
Answers:
Yes, it is a possibility that a girl with very irregular periods could have fertility issues. I always had irregularity and later in life I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.....the leading cause of women's infertility. That doesn't mean it's hopeless though, I found out about this after the birth of my first child....since then I've had a second and am now pregnant with my 3rd. It does mean that I am much less predictable than the average woman. My specialist told me---with PCOS it's not that some women don't ovulate at all, it's just you don't know when it will happen. All of my docs have also said you can have a period without having ovulated, but you did not ovulate if you don't later have a period in that cycle (or becoma pregnant). Some women with PCOS have a much more difficult time getting pregnant and need A LOT of help to get and stay pregnant.
There are some simple blood tests that a doctor can do to check hormone levels if you/your friend are concerned about this. So ask him/her for further details. If you're worried about a girl in her teens, then her cycle may level out when she becomes an adult. My doctors used to tell me that, but I never became regular. Please look at the websites for more info! Good luck!
Other causes of irregularity are stress, weight gain or weight loss (yo-yo dieting especially), ask your doctor for more help.

no, I think it may mean she might be either on birthcontrol or may be going through peri menopause according to her age.
no it just means ur periods are irregauler
You shouldn't have a problem conceiving a child. I have really irregular periods my whole life too and I have endro. ( Which is impossible to become pregnant). Hay guess what I have one child and one on the way.
That depends on wheather you ovalate or not, only a doctor with womens medical training can fully answer this for you. I had to take furtillity pills to get pregnaunt with my two children but I did not ovalate but my sister had no problem at all and we both had irregular periods.
Its more than likely a hormonal imbalance - your doctor can tell you by doing a simple blood test. I've had irregular ones all my life and I've had 2 kids and fell pregnant really easily - even though I didn't expect to. By irregular, I once waited 6 months for my period, though on average they are every 2 months as opposed to monthly, which is actually a blessing as its not exactly a welcomed occasion is it?
go get on birth control so it dont happen ...
