what is the cause of the skin peeling on my vagina?

Question:
I am not a sexually active teen, nor do i participate in things such as oral sex or getting fingered. i shower twice a day and lotion down everytime. lately i've been noticing that when i go to wipe myself when i pee, the skin on the outside of my vagina comes off. at first i thought that maybe it was lint from the tissue, but it kept happening. today, i saw that there were tiny cuts on my skin. is this because i wipe myself to hard? now, when anything rubs against my clitoris, it hurts. there is a tiny cut on the skin protecting my clitoris. i'm not all that familiar with signs of yeast infections. are these symptoms? or, am i simply wiping too hard? i really need advice on this because i do not know what is going on. i keep up with my hygiene; more than i need to really. how can i get them to go away?

Answers:
Showering twice a day may not be necessary. Sometimes you can be too clean. If you are washing to often the skin can get irritated and you are probably removing some natural oils in your skin down there. It's very sensitive skin there so you may be overdoing it with the cleaning- like if you wash your fact too much it gets over dry because you are getting rid of natural, necessary oils. And what are you washing with? And are you really putting lotion directly on the skin down there? The combination of excess washing and then adding lotion could be irritating. Try only washing gently once a day with something mild and unscented with a soft cloth and I would skip the lotion for now.

But I also advise you talk to the adult in your life closest to you about this to take you to the doctor to be safe- or if you are old enough you can just go talk to your doctor. If you aren't comfortable with this there are usually clinics around that you could go to but I think it's always best to talk to someone close to you about stuff like this.
if its itching then it might be a yeast infection, but if its just skin coming off then i would go ask a doctor. you would have to wipe pretty hard for you to get cuts.
