Gynecologist in UK?!?
Question:
Answers:
You need a list of the Gynaecologists in your area who offer private appointments. Your GP practice will have one. Alternatively ring BUPA (they have a UK general helpline) and ask to have an appointment with a gynaecologist in your area. You may need to get your GP to fax them a short letter explaining why you want the appointment and listing any previous medical problems etc.
One thing you should do is make sure you are up to date with your smear tests - should be done every 3 years. If there is any chance you may have picked up an infection you can also ask the nurse to takes swabs at the same time - these will check for chlamydia, gonorrhoea and various other bacterial infections.
Hope that helps!
