cyst in the virgina?? PLEASE HELP??

Question: Ok reciently my hubby's Aunty went into the hospital for day sergery as they found a cyst within her virgina. By the sound of it the doctor found it on the inside of her flap i think, not sure how far up it went thro. It was fairly long. Just wondering is there any sites that give you info about this condition? The doctor told her its very common in women now.... But ive never heard of that, neither has my hubby's mum or my mum or dad or anyone within our family for that matter. Whe they went in for the operation they found more than one. Now she is really sore and ahe says its weeping and it stings when ever she feels like going to the loo but it doesnt hurt when she wee's. She says its very big and sore. Are these normal systoms giving that the operation was in a very sensitive area or could it be infected?

please help!!

Vaginal cysts are quite common, and are usually nothing to worry about. She should consult her doctor again to see if any treatment is necessary, if not, it will go down after a while.
