What causes my spine to feel like it's bruised when I know I haven't bumped it or anything?

Question:
There's a part of my spine just below the center that feels like it's bruised. I have no clue as to why and this has happened to me once before a few months ago. Any ideas as to what might cause that? Does anyone else experience this or am I freak?

Answers:
most probably its the way you sit, if you do not always sit in a straight position that will harm your spine and make you feel like that. unless you tried to lift up something very heavy by bending over and not keeping your spine (back) straight while lifting the weigth up.

Does it feel sore like an inflammation and go away after a few days without any medication? Do you meditate or pray regularly? Sometimes meditation and prayers which stir up energies in our nervous system are said to cause such inflammations.
Or it could be psychosomatic caused due to some stress. Check to see if there were any stressful situations around time when the sores appeared.
