Ortho Evra?

Question:
I have a question on the birth control ortho evra. I have doing the patch for a month. Previously I was on depo provera. I didn't have a regular period during the whole time taking depo, just spotting everyday, so I switched. Anyways, I took off the patch for my week off last friday and still have not had my period. I am worried that maybe something is wrong? Also, another question, if whoever is answering this if you are using the patch, does the patch bend with your skin when you sit down. Mine does and I wonder if it should be straight the whole time and I should find a different spot? Thanks for your help!

Answers:
I was on the patch before but I was never on depo. I have heard bad things about depo so maybe you are still not having your period from depo. I would stay on the patch another month or so and if you are still having problems maybe you need to switch to something else. I got off of the patch b/c it was causing me to have migraines and making me moody. I switched to the ring and liked that a lot better. Maybe if the patch doesn't work for you,you can switch to the ring. Also, if you just took it off on Friday maybe it will still come. Most people get their period within 2 days of taking it off but it would usually take me 4-5 days till my period would come. With the ring my period would usually come in 2-3 days.

I've used both of those methods above and had problems also. With the patch it caused me to have seizures, I have Epilepsy that was controlled but I had 4 seizures in 6 weeks time so had to get rid of them. Also my cousin started using them and it would like eat some of her skin off so she had to stop too.

Now with Depo. I don't recommend anybody use it!! It messes your hormones up and causes you to not have a period and possible infertility. I was on that for 4 years and been off a year and still no period. I have to go see many doctors to find out what is wrong and at the moment unable to have children, not that I am trying but still thats hard to hear so hopefully it can be fixed.

So you should just use the pill or maybe that ring and condoms because those 2 methods do more harm than good. They didn't do enough testing on it and we all thought it was wonderful because we don't have a period with it well its NOT wonderful! It causes much harm!! STAY AWAY!
im on ortho evra right now and yes mine does also bend with my skin and its perfectly normal it wont affect anything, i dont think anything would be wrong since this is the first time using ortho evra, I beleive in the pamplet you get with the patches it says a couple months of missed is ok but you should see your doctor if it continues to see if anything is a miss.
