missed period?

i'm 2 weeks late i had some spotting a week ago i did a pregnancy test a few days ago but it was negative i'm very regular every 30 days never missed a period before except in pregnancy ,feel bloted ,everyone say's its stress but i dont feel stressed at all in fact i feel very happy! has anyone had a similar experience and found that they were pregnant

yes, i had some spotting witch i thought would be a period. the day before, i took a preg test and it was negative (i never have regular periods). still no real period, took another preg test a week later and bingo--pregnant. my husband was away that whole time so the first test was just too early.
the dr. said that the spotting could have been due to the embryo attaching itself to the uterine wall--which is very common.
