Dilation and Curettage (D&C)?

Question: I am going to have a Dilation and Curettage (D&C) in three more hours. This is used to help determine the health of the uterine lining. Can I eat breakfast before I go to have this done? Should I go fasting? I decided to have it done in the doctor's office without anesthesia.

Answers:
Better to have an empty stomach and not need it, than have a full stomach and have them tell you you shouldn't have. I can't remember if I was instructed not to eat, or not. Can you call the doctor's office and ask?
