My mother is mean and short tempered.?
Question:
Answers:
I particularly liked the "mental" pause angle on this one. I am calling my mother, who is 63 next week, and asking her if that applies. LOL She'll get a kick out of that.
To the person asking this question, I strongly suspect that your mother is just tired. With the pressures from family, work, friends, kids, animals, etc., there is not much reprieve. Most parents do not get a full 8 hours of sleep each night.
Try to be less demanding and go out of your way to show her that you love her. If you think she is being particularly bad, tell your dad to take her out for a nice dinner or a movie. By the way, I am not implying that her mood is your fault. :) Just suggesting ways for you to help make her moods less negative.
Good luck!

No, she is schizo..it is heriditary.you get it from you KIDS!
Mine too. But you don't hear my crying. Is she 45-55 years old. Then she could be. Maybe she's under alot of stress at work. If she's not usually mean, then something is probably wrong. Try asking her. Maybe talking will help.
whose mother isnt?
Sure she could be going through MENOPAUSE, could be age, nerves can't tolerate the stress, or just stress itself. The age would help a lot on answering this question. There are so many factors including a chemical imbalance in the brain, so there is your "mental" part. I am a mother, and I can be short tempered at times for various reasons, just pick a day and give me a call, we will see how it is. How are your moods?
