my throat hurts so bad ? infection?

Question: my thraot started to hurt a week ago. this morning it was burning so bad or everytime i spoke, especially when pronouncing a consonant. ive had strep throat many times, but this feels different. it hurts all the way up to my ears when i swallow. could it be a sinus infection??even though i dont have allergies or a runny nose?

When a throat infection gets bad enough it can hurt all the way up to your ears and face. Not all throat infections will feel the same. Get to a doctor!

Look deep at your tonsils. You may have tonsil stones. Poke around at your tonsils with a q-tip and if you see some small white stuff pop out then that was the problem.

It sounds like a combination of allergiess and in turn causing an infection. Have you been taking any medications? Try over-the-counter allergie medicines, and maybe a cough syrup to help with the pain in your throat. If it don't get better, I would try to get in to see the doctor.

This seems to be a growing epidemic. My family members were sick this past week with the same symptoms. It seemed to be allergies. I just heard the news and they stated that the air is extremely dry and is the cause of such discomforts.
