Stress or something more?

Question:
My body is messed up. Sometimes when I am stressed, my period will be delayed by a week or two. But it's been 3 months since my last period. I 've done one pregnancy test from EACH brand, and all are negative, so I'm pretty sure that I 'm not pregnant. I've been under tons of stress lately: college, a teething daughter, full time job, and trying to get my daughter into my sole custody. Could my absense of a period be stress or more?

Answers:
Oh sweetie, you really do have a lot on your plate, i don't know how you are managing.
My first guess is that you are definately stressed to the max and I am surprised that more "changes" haven't occured.
I am 44 years old and over the years I have been in very stressful situations and I also have had my period dissapear...it's been all over the place actually...dissapeared, wouldn't go away, would come and go weekly...sheesh! The joys of womanhood..
Follow your heart and listen closely to your body. If you truely feel that you should see a doctor then do it. At least you will know the truth and take one of your stresses away.
Good luck love!
My suggestion would be to make an appointment with your gynocologist. However, durations of high stress can definitely throw your systems out of wack. Also, stressful times can also lead to weight loss/weight gain that can also affect such things.
