Question: I am 38 weeks pregnant, and my vagina was kind of itchy so I was looking at it with a mirror, and there was this whitish kind of hard, long thing growing off to one side, and so I picked at it and it ripped off, but then it started bleeding a ton! I looked up genital warts to see pics, and it didn't look like it is that at all, but I was wondering what else it could be!

OK.let's see. 38 weeks..aren't you overdue? I am a nurse, but not a OB nurse. I do know that you have a cervical plug that forms when you are pregnant. This grows in your cervix. This "white thing" was not in your cervix was it? If you continue to bleed or not, it may be to your benefit to get to your healthcare proivder ASAP. Considering you are 38 weeks, any bleeding at this point should be considered significant. GET TO THE DOCTOR NOW..
