My cervix is twice the size and over twice the thickness. I have to have my cervix scraped. Then what and what?

Question:
I've had to go have 3 paps and an ultrasound. They told me my cervix was twice the size and over twice as thick as it should be. Now I have to have my cervix scraped....What are they looking for and whats next?

Answers:
They are checking for cervical cancer. If the pap comes back showing abnormal cells, they will do another test called a colposcopy, where they go in like a pap smear and take a sample of cells from inside the opening of the cervix. This will hurt like bad period cramps. This test is to see if you have cervical cancer.

Other Answers:
Bulky cervix? Dangerous, If you are in a correct age group get your uterus removed,so that you are out of risk.Removal of uterus will not affect your normal sex life, so think seriously &decide.
