Low libido and arousal?

Question: I am 33 yrs old female happily married for 7 years , but I am not sexually attracted to by husband which makes it hard to have sex. It is more of a chore and pleasure. I love him dearly and he desires sex all the time and finds me sexy, but I don't feel sexy at all so I don't want to have sex. I don't think about sex at all. I was recently diagnosed with mild chronic depression and have been taking prozac for about 6 months. I feel less depressed and more energized, but sex turns me off completely. I want to desire my husband and enjoy sex, but I don't know how. He is a wonderful man and he takes care of me, so I feel worse when he asks me to have sex; I drop my head and sigh. Here is a twist. I have a crush on a new co-worker. He reminds me a lot of my husband, but HE IS SEXY! I dream about having wild sex with him not my husband. I would never ruin my marriage over a one-night-stand. IWhat can I do?

I first thought the medication you are taking could have an effect on your libido, but you stated that you have sexual fantasies about another man so I negated that. Then I thought it sounds as though you need some variety in your lovemaking. Even after 7 years, sex can become a routine - same thing, same way, every time. Try to change the routine, day, time, place, refrain from sex for a week or so...spice it up. I think that is why you are having the fantasies about the other man - you think it might be different rather than the same old, same old.
Try to talk to your husband about the way you feel also...that you feel as though some changes need to be made to your love making routine, that you want to really be "into" it as much as he and that you want both of you to work at it. If he loves you as much as it sounds as though you love him, I'm sure he willing to try.
