what kind of infection can you get after a miscarriage?

Question:
I keep on reading that you can get an infection after a miscarriage, but is this a vaginal infection, or uterine infection? And how do they treat them? Just antibiotics?

Answers:
endometritis is the infection of the local tissue there, septicemia is also possible.
You can get a lot of different infections from a miscarriage becomes of tissue that is dead inside of you body. The doctor will know what kind of antbiotic to put you on incase there is something there.I would think that they would normally do a d and c..ask a doctor.
