What excatly IS that pooch made of after Pregnancy?

Question:
I forget where, but I seem to recall reading that "the pooch" is infact a gap down there somewhere and it could have been corrected with a girdle of some type shortly after the pregnancy. Any thoughts on this? Better yet...any TRUTH on this?

Answers:
The pooch or "baby bubble" is fat that has collected in the abdominal area around the intestines and uterus. usually after your have had your child it subsides and/or goes away. this will take time but if you are breastfeeding it goes away faster. There is no void in your body. :)

Other Answers:
skin that has been stretched, water, fat and yes space.a girdle may help bring it back in shape. My ex. breast fed my son and it disappeared in two weeks you might try using a yoga ball crunches are less stress on the neck and lower back ,plus the huge ball is safe and fun for baby to play with.
After two babies in two years weighing 11.2 and 10.12, I am just glad that my pooch is not any larger than it is. My skin was stretched soooooo far, that without surgery, I don't think it will ever go away completely. I have TRIED!
