I just got a call from my dr she wants to see me about my pap test and to go to a gyne what could be wrong?

I understand your 'stressed out' attitude. This has happened to me, and it was because I had abnormal cells on my cervix. I had to go get a biopsy done of my cervix as well. Pap smears are used to find abnormalities in cervical cells. These could be something like an infection, disease, even STD related. I hate that they can't tell you over the phone as well. Anyways, good luck, and try not to worry (I know it's very hard)....

Yes, there could be..but she may also tell you that they screwed it up. If you go for tests regularly the news shouldn't be too bad. I've had several smears 're-done' because my doctor is such a bad 'swiper' LOL.
I've also had tests come back as slightly abnormal and a retest is ordered for 3 or six months later.
Try not to worry, if you've gone regularly, you should be okay.

I would call your gyne back and demand her to tell you the results over the phone because you are very worried.
Don't project about what might be wrong. Now that we have HIPPA laws, they have to be very careful and don't give out diagnosis over the phone. They could be talking to anyone!
