Period Cramps?
Question:
Answers:
If she takes a "mini pill", which is a birth control pill with only estrogen instead of estrogen and progesterone--she will not get her period at all or only for 1-day each month.
Mini pills were first prescribed to women who for work reasons could not get their period (shark feeder, model). But now many women take them who get side effects from the regular pill or whom have severe PMS. I was on LoEstrin for years. That is one of over a dozen types. She may need to try a few out to see which suits her best. Decreased libido is the only (and huge) reason I stopped taking it.
Nice guy to look out for your girl like this. :-)
The only thing that works for me is Darvocet. It is a prescribed pain killer.
Tell your girlfriend I feel her pain. Really!
Tell her to go to the doc and demand something for the pain.
If she wont, then have her put muscle cream on her abdomen, all over, take her pills and use a heating pad. Worked for me.
I had the same problem as your girlfriend, what I would do was take 2 to 3 Advil and curl up into the fetal position, and it would pass within a couple hours. I did go to the doctors about it and my doc said that it was very normal to have strong cramps, but to make sure that there are not any other problems she should go to see her doctor. To make your girlfriend feel better my cramps have been getting better as I have been getting older (I am 27), I also read somewhere that having chocolate can help out period cramps.
