Nope..Azo is for pain relief it doesn't cure anything. Also it doesn't sound like a bladder infection, it sounds like a vaginal infection. That requires a specific medicine as well.
A bladder infection is very, very obvious and if you had one, you'd be crying for a doctor. It burns VERY badly when you pee, and you feel the need to pee every few minutes. There is rarely any obvious discharge though if you see red, it can be a symptom of serious problems.
If you have a bladder infection you NEED to be seen or it can become a kidney infection. Again, though this is NOT what it sounds like you have. The white dischare and odor is vaginal and if its itchy it might be yeast. Yeast can sometimes be cured with over the counter remedies (like monistat) BUT since you obviously don't know the difference, you should see a doctor first because it could be something else. (especially if it isn't itchy)
Go to the doc and get a proper diagnose. Your mom is right.

What's azo? Drink alot of water, until you wee clear urine. Get some cranberry juice, tastes vile but does the trick..I drink a litre of the stuff in a day first day I know I have a UTI and it works. If it persists you should see the doctor as you may need antibiotics.
Listen to your mum!!
sound to me more like a bacterial infection or yeast infection. you shouldn't have the discharge wtih a uti/bladder infection. the azo will work for the bladder infection after a couple of days taking care of the pain when urinating, but won't solve the other problems. You have to go to the doctor for that!
are you sure its a UTI? those don't cause any weird discharge. UTI's make u feel like u always have to pee- like every 5 minutes and it hurts like helll when u do pee. if its not taken care of quickly there can even be blood in your urine. u can get something over the counter called uristat i think, and that works. drink cranberry juice and a lot of water. i've never heard of azo. if you're getting white discharge it might be a yeast infection.
I would also suggest going to the doctor. I have tried azo [ I used to have UTI and/or bladder infections frequently]. The Azo never worked. I always had to go on an antibiotic. AT that time Macrobid was the drug of choice.
With an odor and a milky discharge, it sounds like you have more than just a straight forward infection. I would go to the doctor just to be sure. they can culture it if need be to determine how to treat you..
I wish you luck, these things are NO FUN.
Are you sure it's a UTI, because that sounds a lot more like a Yeast infection or a possible UTI. I've had UTI's and never had one with those symptoms. Usually the tall tail sign of a UTI is burning with urination and frequent urge to urinate. For any of the above you need to get an antibiotic from a doctor, which I highly recommend you see one ASAP!!
