How do can I get my second burst of energy for the day?

Question:
What do you guys do for a second gust a wind?

Answers:
I don't need a second wind because I don't allow myself to experience the initial slump!

In the morning I give myself lots of time to have a refreshing shower and eat a protein-packed breakfast. I like to eat Kashi Go Lean cereal (or any variety of wheat- and gluten-free museli) mixed with fortified soya milk and unsweetened, no-fat, all natural yogurt. The protein and fiber in the breakfast keep me full all morning, and the bacteria in the yogurt helps my digestive system stay on track. I normally walk part of the way to work, so I get fifteen or twenty minutes of fresh air before I go into the office. That helps a lot too (even in crappy weather!).

If I'm feeling worn out or exhausted because I've been doing something strenuous, I use an accupressure trick. Hold your hand with your palm facing up. Keep your fingers together and pull your thumb away to form a 90-degree angle. At the base of your thumb there is a slightly raised mound, and just above that there is a slightly concave area. Use your other hand to apply pressure to both sides of that concave point. Apply pressure with your other thumb from the top and your index finger from below, squeezing them together. It might feel a bit uncomfortable, but if you do both hands you'll feel totally refreshed!
Watch a funny movie while eating a Snickers bar.
